When looking for a gaming laptop, you certainly want a machine that comes with a lot of processing power, especially graphics processing. You want a machine with a decent-sized display and a high pixel resolution. Hard drive space, while not as much a priority for gamers as it is with enterprise “power users,” is also a serious consideration, especially if you’re the type of gamer who enjoys a wide variety of gaming genres. Then there’s pricing – while it’s a given that you’ll be spending a lot on your next gaming laptop, it’s completely understandable to be concerned about your machine’s price tag and how much you stand to sell out.

As Black Friday is coming in just ten days from now, this may be a great time to start canvassing for gaming laptops. Better yet, this might be the best time to buy, as Amazon is currently offering a series of “Countdown to Black Friday” deals ahead of Thanksgiving week. For today, the retailer has several gaming laptops featured, so let’s take a look at those deals and examine those options.

If you’re looking for the perfect combination of graphical power, processing power, and storage, you may want to take a look at the Alienware ALW17-5312sLV. This configuration includes an Intel Core i7 processor paired with 8 GB RAM, a 1 TB hard drive, and a 17.3-inch display, with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics solution under the hood. Pricing is now $1,629.99, or 42 percent off the original selling price of $2,808.19.

Among gaming laptop makers, MSI is one of the more recognizable names out there, and Amazon has a few of its popular laptop configurations now selling on the cheap. The GS70 Stealth Pro-212 configuration with Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, a 1 TB hard drive and a 3 x 128 GB solid-state drive setup in Super RAID 2, a 17-inch display, and Windows 8.1 now costs $1,799, or 27 percent/$671.46 less than the original price of $2,470.46. The Stealth Pro-210 config, on the other hand, includes a 17.3-inch display, 16 GB RAM, a 1 TB hard drive, a 128 GB SSD, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX870M graphics with 6 GB GDDR5 VRAM. List pricing was $2,596.32, but Amazon is selling this machine for 25 percent off, or $1,934.56.

If you’re in the market for something cheaper, you can get a CyberpowerPC Fangbook EVO HFX7-1000 config for just $1,371.57, or 26 percent/$487.43 less than the list price of $1,859. Specs include a 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, a 1 TB hard drive, a 120 GB SSD, a 17.3-inch display, Windows 8.1 out of the box, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M graphics processor. That config, while affordable in comparison to your average gaming laptop, is still costlier than the CybertronPC Tesseract NB2124A.

That’s another 17.3-inch gaming laptop like the ones we mentioned above, but it only sells for $948.68 instead of the original price of $1,249.99. Specs include a dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, and a 1 TB hard drive, and a 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics solution. That’s not as high-end as some of the specs we mentioned earlier, but one of the few gaming laptops that won’t cost you more than a thousand dollars.
