Apple Device Specials on Newegg – Get iPhone, iPad Refurbs for Less on Day of iPhone 6 LaunchToday’s iPhone 6 launch is no longer expected to feature the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 alone. Instead, we’ve got rumors suggesting a number of other devices launching at that Cupertino event, specifically the iPad Air 2 and the iWatch. But while this launch event may be the perfect prelude to what a well-known market analyst calls a “fab fall” of Apple releases in 2014, there are still some others who may be more interested in older Apple devices, or outgoing flagship products from the company.

That said, if you are indeed that person who doesn’t mind owning an older iDevice, the best place to shop at this point in the game may be Newegg. The retailer is currently offering several refurbished Apple devices at lower prices, so if you’re looking to save some serious money on an Apple refurb, do join us as we recap these Newegg deals. Take note that refurbished items may not be in 100 percent mint condition, but are nonetheless in very good working condition, with little to no physical damage.

The iPhone 4s may be approaching its third birthday, but if you come to think about it, it can still make for a pretty decent midrange smartphone. It’s also quite notable as Apple’s last iPhone to come with a 3.5-inch display, as Apple went with a 4-inch display on both the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. Pricing for an unlocked iPhone 4s with 16 GB storage used to be $349.99 on Newegg, but you can now purchase the device for $299.99, or $50 off.

iPad buyers also have some refurbs to consider, including the iPad 2, Apple’s last not to come with Retina Display. The iPad 2 model in question comes with 16 GB storage and Wi-Fi connectivity, and comes in black, and you can purchase this tablet for $249.99. That’s a significant $150 price cut off the original list price of $399.99. As for the original 16 GB Wi-Fi only iPad mini, you won’t be getting Retina Display with this model, but you can get a very solid 7.9-inch tablet for the low price of $249.99. That’s $50 savings off the price of the original iPad mini in base form.

Newegg also has a couple refurbished Apple notebooks available at discounted prices, starting with the MacBook Air with 11-inch display, Intel Core i5 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, 4 GB RAM, and a 128 GB solid-state drive. Previously priced at $1,099.99, you can buy this older model year MacBook Air for close to half that list price, or only $599. Secondly, the legacy (no Retina Display) MacBook Pro with Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB hard drive, 13.3-inch display and OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion is now selling at $1,068.99, a decent $130 discount off the usual price of $1,199.99.

If you thought we were done with this list of Newegg refurbs, think again, because we’ve actually got a newer Apple product selling for considerably less than original pricing! The base iPad Air with Wi-Fi support and 16 GB storage will normally cost $499.99 if purchased at full pricing, but it is now available for only $409.99, a $90 discount off the original price and one of the biggest discounts we’ve seen on the outgoing iPad Air since its fall 2013 release.
