Last year, it was the HTC One M8 getting praise for being a big improvement and the Samsung Galaxy S5 getting bashed for being too evolutionary. This year, the tables have turned – the Galaxy S6 has been widely lauded for righting a lot of what was wrong on the Galaxy S5, while many have criticized HTC for making the One M9 too much like the One M8. But once you get past its samey design and samey CPU/RAM powertrain, you’ll see that there are quite a few things that are different this time around. For example, the 4 Ultrapixel camera is now in front, while HTC is using a 20-megapixel sensor for the rear shooter. The Sense UX has been upgraded, while some features have gotten subtle redesigns.
The bottom line is this – the HTC One M9 is not a bad phone. If you missed out on the HTC M8 last year, you can get the new flagship HTC handset now and own a pretty fine flagship phone. But you’ll also need to have that handset protected from the elements, and preferably do so on the cheap. With that said, here are some of Amazon’s better HTC One M9 case deals available this week.
As we often do, we’re starting out with a few Spigen cases designed specifically for the HTC One M9. The Ultra Hybrid Case, which used to be priced at $24.99, now sells for $12.99, but it’s only set to go in stock on March 25. The Neo Hybrid Case, on the other hand, costs $20.99 instead of $34.99, and will be available starting March 31. Lastly, at least as far as this trio of Spigen cases goes, we have the Capsule “Strong-Flex” Case, which is selling for $13.99, or just a dollar cheaper than the original price of $14.99. If it’s any consolation, this case will be available sooner than the aforementioned two, with an in-stock date of March 16.
Poetic and Ionic are two other fairly well-known makers of third-party smartphone cases, and the former company’s Revolution Series Case for the HTC One M9 will set you back by just $9.95 plus $4.95 shipping, instead of the original $24.95. The case will go in stock on March 30. The latter company’s Holster Case for the HTC One M9 is even cheaper, and subject to a much larger discount; original pricing was $59.99, discount pricing a dirt-cheap $3.74 (plus $3.85 shipping), and the in-stock date on the Amazon website is March 21.
And if you’re shopping for a good book cover case for the HTC One M9, Aceabove’s wallet-style case for the HTC One M9 is now priced at $43.90 plus $1 shipping, down from the original price tag of $59.95.
For our final case in this deals recap, we’re going to talk you through one of the more popular varieties of smartphone cases, a heavy duty case you can now purchase for less than ten dollars, net of shipping costs. We’re talking about none other than the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Series Case, which is now available for $8.99 (plus $4.99 shipping) instead of the original $14.99.
This case goes in stock on March 31, and while the shipping cost is rather premium by Amazon standards, you can’t get much cheaper when talking about heavy-duty cases for the HTC One M9.
