iPad Air, MacBook Pro with Retina Display on Sale at Newegg – Select Apple Products Discounted This Week

iPad Air, MacBook Pro with Retina Display on Sale at Newegg - Select Apple Products Discounted This WeekThough, Apple has officially refreshed the MacBook Air line of thin-and-light notebooks for the 2014 model year, there are still rumors pointing to a MacBook Air with Retina Display release, and a lot of consumers looking forward to such a thin-and-light making its debut at the 2014 Worldwide Developers Conference. According to BGR and several other tech sites, as well as highly-regarded market analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, Apple will be releasing a Retina MacBook Air sometime this year, though when that release date will be remains the big question.

As such, it wouldn’t hurt to buy a non-Retina MacBook Air or Retina MacBook Pro now rather than pin too much hope on a Retina MacBook Air release date, and Newegg can help you save on such a device, thanks to its new specials on Apple tech devices that include discounts of more than 25 percent.

One MacBook Pro with Retina Display configuration currently available among the Apple device specials comes with a 13.3-inch display, a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, and a 512 GB hard drive; pricing on this config is $1,799.99 as of the moment. And if you’re looking to level up, Newegg also is offering a Retina MacBook Pro configuration with an Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB internal storage, and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphics solution. Pricing on the latter configuration is $2,599. So far, those are the only MacBook Pro configurations available, and both are selling at close to full price, though this could always change in the coming days.

If you’re in the market for a tablet from Apple, we advise you to choose carefully, as some of Newegg’s iPad deals come with a bit of a twist, and that’s the devices’ original list prices being higher than the MSRP. That said, you can purchase a 64 GB iPad mini (without Retina Display) with Wi-Fi and Verizon 4G support for $399.99, or $200 off the regular price of $599.99. The same price applies to the Verizon edition, which is also available at the same price tag.

Buyers in the market for an iPad Air with a lot of storage space can spring for the 128 GB Wi-Fi edition, which costs $799.99, or $20 less than the regular price of $819.99. That’s quite a modest discount, but it’s better than nothing for Apple’s highest storage capacity available for the iPad Air.

Buyers shopping for older Apple devices can also take advantage of Newegg’s Apple-centric specials this week, as the fourth-generation iPad, a.k.a. iPad with Retina Display, also happens to be available at lower pricing. The iPad 4 with 32 GB storage and Wi-Fi only support is available in black or white, and is now selling for $529.99, or $20 off the original price of $549.99. Again, that’s not the biggest discount available on an Apple product on the Newegg website, but small discounts beat no discount at all, especially on Apple tech items, which tend not to be discounted as often as other manufacturers’ products.
