Newegg 72-Hour Sale - Select Laptops and Computer Peripherals Selling at Lower PricesWhen it comes to consumer electronics, Newegg is typically one of the best retailers to go to, especially if you’re in the market for a new laptop computer or new peripherals and components for your existing desktop or laptop. So if you’re looking to save some money on Newegg, here are the retailer’s ongoing 72-hour deals – let’s get to them and see how much you can save.

Newegg’s 72-hour deals this week are, as usual, dominated by peripheral items, such as the Seagate Barracuda internal hard drive with 500 GB hard drive space. Originally $59.99, the hard drive now sells at a modest $5 off, or $54.99. You may, however, be more interested in the WD Black Series WD3003FZEX hard drive if you need a bigger discount and far more space to store all those files, may they be multimedia, games, business files and programs, or all of the above. This is a 3 TB hard drive that is now priced at $179.99, or $40 off full retail pricing of $219.99.

Newegg also has lots of deals on computer cases, including the Antec Nine Hundred computer case with USB 3.0 support and a side panel window. List pricing is $129.99 and discount pricing $94.99 (27 percent off), though you can save an additional $25 via instant mail-in rebate, thus reducing pricing further to $69.99. Video card buyers, on the other hand, can get a $70 discount off the price of the Asus DirectCU II G-Sync Support GeForce GTX 780 video card, which is selling for $409.99 instead of $479.99. To further sweeten the deal, Newegg is throwing in a $30 instant rebate card, and a free copy of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel as a limited-time offer. Buyers who need a new projector can also save, as the NEC Display NP-VE281X XDA DLP projector is now available for $364.99, or 27 percent off list pricing of $499.99.

Looking for a new laptop? The Asus N56JN-EB71 is a simpler gaming laptop configuration that comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8 GB RAM, a 750 GB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M graphics solution. That should make for enough storage for most gamers, while the laptop’s other specs should ensure that it has enough horsepower to tackle intense PC games. Pricing used to be $949, but Newegg is selling this laptop for $799, or 16 percent off full retail.

And if you’re a more casual laptop user, may it be for work or for gaming, the HP 350 G1 comes configured with a 15.6-inch display, an Intel Core i3 processor, an Intel HD Graphics 4400 GPU, 4 GB RAM, and a 500 GB hard drive. Discount pricing is $399.99, a whopping 33 percent, or $200 off the original price of $599.99.

We’re not done recapping Newegg’s 72-hour sale for the week, and you may have been wondering if the retailer has a more advanced gaming laptop with more RAM and more storage space. Well, there is – the Lenovo Y50 on sale on the Newegg website is configured with an Intel Core i7 processor clocked at 2.4 GHz, a 15.6-inch display, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive space, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M GPU. This Windows 8.1 gaming laptop usually costs $1,299.99, but is now selling for just $1,049.99, or $250/19 percent off.
