This year’s holiday shopping season is shaping up to be another exciting one for the tech community. Different retailers are offering their own special deals for a number of high-end devices, and that includes the Samsung Galaxy S3, a six month-old handset that has since been surpassed on paper by a variety of newer phones.
Even auction sites are offering the Galaxy S3 at lower prices than usual, such as a deal spotted on eBay for an unlocked, international Galaxy S3 selling for just $499.99.
Buyers who aren’t enthusiastic about paying hundreds of dollars for an unlocked, unsubsidized device can head over to RadioShack, which had started on Sunday its BOGO (Buy One, Get One) deal for the Galaxy S3. For only $99.99, you can purchase a Samsung Galaxy S3 on a two-year AT&T, Sprint or Verizon contract and get either one of two free Galaxy S2 variants or a new Verizon Galaxy Stratosphere 2.
The available S2 variants are the AT&T Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and the Sprint Galaxy Epic 4G Touch. The Stratosphere 2 is an entry-level handset with physical QWERTY keyboard and specs that include a 4-inch WVGA screen, among others.
Aside from receiving either a free Galaxy S2 or Galaxy Stratosphere, buyers will also get a free $50 Google Play credit for all purchases made at a physical RadioShack outlet. For online purchases, Sprint and Verizon activations done on RadioShack online will qualify you for the credit. There is yet another incentive available for would-be customers, and this goes far beyond the aforementioned BOGO deal – a $10 cash-back coupon for every $50 worth of RadioShack purchases.
