We’ve already seen the Samsung Galaxy S6 arrive at the 2015 Mobile World Congress, and we know for a fact that its actual global release is just a few weeks away and set to take place on April 10. You probably are well-versed with its specifications and features, as well as the features that aren’t present on Samsung’s first metal-and-glass flagship. As a reminder, there were some tradeoffs to the use of metal and glass (as opposed to plastic) as key build materials, and these included a lack of waterproofing.
That’s brought up speculation that Samsung will again be releasing a ruggedized Galaxy S6 Active, and it does look very probable that we will see this device touch down in the coming months, thanks to a recent leak from SamMobile. The publication claims that the Galaxy S6 Active will come with all of the same fundamental specs found on the standard S6 and S6 edge, but with dustproofing, waterproofing, and a larger 3,500 mAh battery.
Once again, we may not be seeing this device just yet, but if you can’t wait for it, the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are a month away from hitting stores. And while waiting, you can always order a new case for your Galaxy S6, as Amazon has many discounted cases for the new flagship available on its website. Ready to find out more about your options? Read on, we’ll be glad to tell you.
If you’re looking for cases that are fairly cheap in price, but not cheap in quality, you will definitely want to add a Spigen case or two to your shortlist. The Spigen Neo Hybrid Series Case for Galaxy S6 is a bumper-style case that will cost you $19.99, which is $15 off the original selling price of $34.99. The same case maker also has an “Impact Protection” Galaxy S6 Case that’s selling for considerably less – original pricing is $14.99, while discount pricing is $11.99. Anybody shopping for a heavy-duty case can check out the Galaxy S6 “Damda Slide” Case from Verus, which originally costs $39.99, but is now available at the much lower price of $24.99.
All of the above cases are currently available for pre-order, and mostly ship out within a few days. However, if you’re willing to wait till April 29 for another heavy-duty case option, you won’t have a problem with the Roocase Hybrid PC/TPU Armor Case Cover for Galaxy S6, which is selling for $22 instead of $29.98 – aside from its April 29 ship date, you’ll also have to pay $2.98 shipping for this case. Likewise, that shipping charge and in-stock date also applies to the much cheaper Plexis Impax Case from Roocase. You can buy this case for the Galaxy S6 for $10 (plus $2.98 shipping), which is more than 50 percent off on the original price of $24.99.
We know we’re talking about accessories for Samsung products here, but we’ve got “one more thing” to show you before we wrap up this Samsung Galaxy S6 case deals recap. And that’s one of the most affordable cases we’ve seen for the new flagship, the Ionic Bella Galaxy S6 Case. It’s currently selling for $3.49 plus $3.85 shipping, and will only be in stock on the Galaxy S6’s April 10 release date, but you probably wouldn’t want to resist buying this case if we tell you how much it used to cost – set your faces to stunned, as this case was once priced at $39.85!
