Sony Laptop Deals - Newegg Offering Sony VAIO Ultrabooks at $200 OffIf you weren’t able to take advantage of the holiday shopping period and purchase one of the many hot electronics products on special discount, then don’t fret. Most major retailers offer year-round deals on the most popular tech items, though one may have to look a bit longer and harder for said bestselling items selling on the cheap. Those shopping for a Sony laptop can head over to Newegg, which has several specials on VAIO Ultrabooks, all of which are selling for $200 off.

These happen to be very interesting deals, and since it isn’t sure when the offers will expire, we suggest deciding on a purchase as soon as possible, because who knows when Newegg will change its laptop deal offerings?

Before proceeding, we should add that most of the laptops included in this deals wrap-up are covered by the Newegg Iron Egg Price Guarantee. What does this mean? Simply put, it means that any product with the guarantee is guaranteed to be the cheapest option out there, unless you, the consumer, can furnish proof that a competing retailer sells it for less, in which case Newegg will match the price. The offer runs from December 25, 2013 to March 31, 2014, so there’s more than enough time to take advantage of those Iron Egg deals.

The Sony VAIO Duo Core with model number SVD13213CXB is listed at $1,199.99 as its sale price, good for an even $200 discount, or 14 percent off the regular price of $1,399.99. Specifications of this Ultrabook include Windows 8.1 out of the box, a dual-core Intel Core i5 chipset clocked at 1.6 GHz, 4 GB RAM, a 128 GB solid-state drive and a 13.3-inch Full HD (1080p) display.

Slightly more expensive on the pricing scale is the VAIO Duo 13 with model number SVD1321BPXB, which is priced at $1,379.99 instead of $1,579.99. Specifications include an Intel Core i5 (“Haswell”) processor clocked at 1.6 GHz with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.6 GHz, 8 GB RAM, a 128 GB SSD, and a 13.3-inch Full HD touchscreen. Both of the above mentioned devices can be considered “crossover” devices, meaning they can serve as Ultrabooks or tablets, depending on a user’s needs.

One of the more premium Sony Ultrabooks listed is the Sony VAIO Duo Core with model number SVD13225PXB, which is priced at $1,699.99, or 11 percent off the regular price of $1,899.99. Specs include Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit out of the box, an Intel Core i7 chipset with clock speeds up to 1.8 GHz, 8 GB RAM, a 13.3-inch Full HD display, and a 256 GB solid state drive. Those who aren’t satisfied with the 128 GB SSD of the two aforementioned Ultrabooks could consider this machine as an alternative option.

Last, but not the least is the black Sony VAIO Duo 13 with model number SVD13213CXW, which includes an Intel Core i5 processor with speeds of 1.6 GHz, or 2.6 GHz with Turbo Boost, 4 GB RAM, a 128 GB SSD and Windows 8 64-bit out of the box. Pricing is normally set at $1,399.99 with discount pricing at $1,199.99.

A white version is also listed on the Sony Ultrabooks page, but is presently out of stock. There’s no telling when Newegg will have stock available once again for the white flavor, so buyers may have to check back from time to time for availability updates.
