T-Mobile is no stranger to innovation, and with the launch of its latest offerings, it’s clear they’re determined to “shake up the internet scene (again!)”—a bold move that caters to both static homeowners and the dynamic, modern nomad. The first of their new introductions, Home Internet Plus, is a testament to T-Mobile’s commitment to providing extensive and reliable coverage.
Home Internet Plus is designed as a premium internet plan offering expanded Wi-Fi coverage, aiming to eliminate dead zones across every room in a home—even extending outdoors.
This is perfect for those living in large residences or for users who demand consistent connectivity for an array of devices. Upon signing up, customers receive a gateway to transform 5G signals into Wi-Fi along with a Wi-Fi Mesh Access Point that provides an additional 2,200 square feet of coverage.
What sets Home Internet Plus apart is not just its broad coverage but also the inclusion of unlimited 24/7 tech support for all Wi-Fi and smart connected devices within the household. This plan is slated to be available starting April 26, priced at $70 per month with AutoPay, or $50 per month with AutoPay when combined with a premium voice line.
Away: Keeping Digital Nomads Connected
For those who live life on the road, whether it’s in an RV or as a globe-trotting digital nomad, T-Mobile introduces the Away plan. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by frequent travelers, Away is crafted to bridge the connectivity gap with a robust offering that leverages T-Mobile’s extensive 5G network—billed as the most widely available 5G network covering two million square miles.
Had fun talking about T-Mobile's 5G plans and cool 5G demos with Trevor Scott on KEYE-TV's "We Are Austin." This is the technology that will make flying cars possible and Augmented Reality an actual reality. And pizza delivery via drones. Can't… https://t.co/Rku2nMQ3y6

Away includes a 5G gateway that supports connectivity for up to 64 devices simultaneously—double the capacity of a typical hotspot and six times that of phone tethering. This makes it an ideal solution for those who need to stay connected whether they’re working from a café or nestled in a remote work retreat. The plan also prioritizes security, ensuring that users can work from any location without concerns over data breaches or privacy issues.
Set to launch on May 8, the Away plan will be available at $160 per month for unlimited data and $110 a month for 200 gigabytes of data with AutoPay.
T-Mobile’s Strategic Expansion in the 5G Arena
T-Mobile’s new offerings underscore a strategic push to diversify its services to meet the evolving needs of its customer base—from stationary households to those with a nomadic lifestyle. These plans not only expand the possibilities for where and how customers can use T-Mobile’s network but also reinforce the carrier’s commitment to leading the charge in 5G technology.
As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, the demand for reliable, extensive, and flexible Internet solutions grows. T-Mobile’s latest innovations in Home Internet Plus and Away plans are poised to meet these demands, providing tailored solutions that ensure users stay connected no matter where life takes them.
So, whether you’re settling into a new home or setting off on your next adventure, T-Mobile’s new 5G plans offer a promising glimpse into the future of home and mobile internet.
